Polar Express Adventure

On Saturday, December 9th the Polar Express pulled out of Camden filled with the sounds of Christmas Carolers, The Durning String Band and all the children and their parents staying at our Ronald McDonald House.

The children all dressed in snuggle pajamas were escorted by the Camden Fire Department from our House in Camden. With laughter and excitement, the children could not sleep knowing they were headed to the North Pole for a visit with Santa. We sang all the Christmas classics from Here Comes Santa Claus to Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer, creating memories that will last a life time.

Thank you for spreading good cheer for all to enjoy this Christmas season.

Wine & Cigar Dinner

The Madison hosted the second annual Wine & Cigar and the first annual Wine & Canvas socials last night and everyone in attendance wined, dined and had a great time! Ladies painted custom keepsakes while the gentleman enjoyed wine, steaks and cigars as well as the expertise of a wine sommelier from Opera Wine Distributors and a cigar aficionado from Epic Cigars.

Thank you to everyone who was in attendance and Madison for hosting such a fabulous event!

Wine and Canvas Party

The Madison hosted a Wine & Canvas Party presented by Pinot’s Palette, Cherry Hill. Ladies had a choice of painting a Fall Theme pair of Wine Glasses or painting a Floral Pumpkin for Thanksgiving. 35th Annual Golf Classic

Our 35th Annual Golf Classic was a huge success, perfect weather for a day of golf. To the many golfers and sponsors who continue to embrace our mission of keeping families close in their time of need, we thank you for the bottom of our HEARTS.  Your generosity helps us provide a-home-away-from-home for families who have seriously ill children.

Teen Advisory Council

Each year our Teen Advisory Council host an event at YMCA Camp Ockanickon for new members to get acquainted.   Students from 37 different high schools across south jersey come together to attend a team building event. Students work together to problem solve – getting from one platform to another with only 3 boards, cross over swamp water on a wire and climb telephone poles to walk across a rope bridge. A fun day for all who attended.

Touch A Truck

For the past 13 years we have hosted our annual Touch A Truck event at The Promenade Shoppe at Sagemore. Many children enjoyed the experience the Big Dig Zone, On & Off Road Vehicles and Safety Zone. The pony rides and petting zoo were a big hit and to top off the event, Mister Softee served soft ice cream for a refreshing treat.

Christmas in July

Our annual Christmas in July party was a hit! Families worked together to decorate the House, volunteers generously prepared delicious platters of fruits, veggies, cheeses and other delights and Santa appeared to give out the gifts volunteers donated and wrapped. We are so thankful to be able to keep families close to cheer and comfort, Christmas-style in the middle of the summer!

Summer Camp Horse Back Riding

For children staying at our Ronald McDonald House a special road trip took them on an outing to Compassionate Friends Therapeutic Riding Center. Each child was paired with a horse to ride and feed and then hose them down with cool water.  Smiles and laughter show in the faces of these children who had a fabulous time out on the farm.

Ronald House Run 2016

Our 2nd Annual Ronald House 5K Run in 2016 was a huge success. We believe keeping families close helps in the healing process and we thank you for supporting our mission.

We look forward to seeing you again and hope you will except our invitation to 2017 Ronald House Run.

Days of Caring

Many of our friends from local companies and organizations have volunteered to participate in a Day of Caring. On a day in October and November many of these employees came together to lend a hand at our House. They helped with planting flowers, cleaning our kitchen, dusting our ceiling fans and preparing lunch and dinner for our families.

Summer Camp at RMHSNJ

This summer, the children at the House painted, crafted, played and laughed their cares away at Camp Happy Heart. Thanks to a generous donation from The Canuso Foundation, we were able to host activities every day and field trips once a week to local attractions like All Fired Up! and Pinsetters Bowling. We received many donations of snacks and supplies from our local community – goldfish crackers, colored tissue paper and bubbles came in handy everyday!
