Polar Express ALL ABOARD!

BECAUSE OF YOU…..our families had a fantastic time riding the Polar Express Train to the North Pole. Thank you for helping make our Holiday Adventure so special.

On Saturday, December 1st the Polar Express pulled out of Camden filled with the sounds of Christmas Carolers, The Durning String Band and all the children and their parents staying at our Ronald McDonald House.

The children all dressed in snuggle pajamas were escorted by the Camden Fire Department from our House in Camden. With laughter and excitement, the children could not sleep knowing they were headed to the North Pole for a visit with Santa. We sang all the Christmas classics from Here Comes Santa Claus to Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer, creating memories that will last a life time.

Construction ZONE

After 35 years of providing hope, encouragement and comfort when families need it most, Ronald McDonald House Southern New Jersey has served more than 27, 000 families in Camden, NJ. Our House has had tremendous impact on families whose children are battling life-threatening medical conditions and injuries by providing a “home away from home” when Home is miles away.

Our renovation began in January 2018 offering adequate kitchen space for our families and dinner groups to use independently making a family’s stay as comfortable as possible.

NESTville Room

Today we opened our newest room decorated by NEST Multi-Facility Management Company in Gloucester City.  The ribbon cutting ceremony for the NESTville room represents a Shopping Mall. The children all lined up with their NEST tote in tow eager to shop down mall row.  Nest CEO, Rob Almond gave out NEST teddy bears as each child made their way through the room collecting, coloring books & crayons from the Book Store, mini muffins from the Bakery Shop and beach balls from the Surf Shop. As in any mall their was a candy store and Toy store where the children received a bag of candy and a yoyo to test their skills at rolling up the string.
In our dining room pizza was served from the Pizzeria and ice cream sandwiches from the Ice Cream Shop, a great time was had by all thanks to NEST Facility Management for embracing the mission of providing a home-away-from-home for families of sick children.  This room allows families to be close to their children while they are receiving medical treatment in our local hospitals.
Many of our families live with us for months, we provide a loving and comfortable shelter when home is miles away. Today, you provided the best gift to our families, the gift of TOGETHERNESS.  Thank you for your kindness in helping us keep families close in their time of need.

Christmas in July

HO-HO-HO Santa came in the middle of July to visit the children staying at our Ronald McDonald House. All dressed in his Aloha shirt and red shorts with fur, he even wore flip flops and handed out Wells Fargo Ponies.  Beneficial Bank donated all the festive decorations complete with beach balls and flip flop garland.  Ravitz ShopRite employees made a spectacular lunch for everyone to enjoy and our very own Pat Brennen made her special Santa Cookies decorated in Red, White and Green.
