Guests of the 11th Annual Wine & Dine for RMHSNJ enjoyed a fun evening of Wine tasting and local craft beers. Winery’s shared their experiences and offer you a window into the world of wine. Each tasting offering a different array of elegant finishes to heighten your palette.
Craft breweries are characterized by their emphasis on quality, full flavor, innovative and brewing technique. Guests purchased raffle tickets to wine fabulous prizes and a complimentary wine glass from Family Jewelers. Tito’s Vodka offered a special signature drink upon arrival. The evening was hosted by Traino’s Wine & Spirits and MC for the evening was Ken Dunek, Jerseyman Magazine. Thank you to all who attended, we hope you will attend again next year.

Character Breakfast

Spare Some Love Bowling Tournament
Teen Advisory Council (TAC) celebrated their 8th year of fundraising for Ronald McDonald House with a Bowling Tournament at Pinsetter’s in Pennsauken. TAC is a group of high students across the region who come together to raise money to support families staying at our House in Camden. The collaborated efforts of the students raised more than $27,000 with 350 bowlers throughout the day. Congratulations to all for your philanthropic efforts.

Polar Express ALL ABOARD!
BECAUSE OF YOU…..our families had a fantastic time riding the Polar Express Train to the North Pole. Thank you for helping make our Holiday Adventure so special.
On Saturday, December 1st the Polar Express pulled out of Camden filled with the sounds of Christmas Carolers, The Durning String Band and all the children and their parents staying at our Ronald McDonald House.
The children all dressed in snuggle pajamas were escorted by the Camden Fire Department from our House in Camden. With laughter and excitement, the children could not sleep knowing they were headed to the North Pole for a visit with Santa. We sang all the Christmas classics from Here Comes Santa Claus to Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer, creating memories that will last a life time.

After 35 years of providing hope, encouragement and comfort when families need it most, Ronald McDonald House Southern New Jersey has served more than 27, 000 families in Camden, NJ. Our House has had tremendous impact on families whose children are battling life-threatening medical conditions and injuries by providing a “home away from home” when Home is miles away.
Our renovation began in January 2018 offering adequate kitchen space for our families and dinner groups to use independently making a family’s stay as comfortable as possible.

Christmas in July
HO-HO-HO Santa came in the middle of July to visit the children staying at our Ronald McDonald House. All dressed in his Aloha shirt and red shorts with fur, he even wore flip flops and handed out Wells Fargo Ponies. Beneficial Bank donated all the festive decorations complete with beach balls and flip flop garland. Ravitz ShopRite employees made a spectacular lunch for everyone to enjoy and our very own Pat Brennen made her special Santa Cookies decorated in Red, White and Green.

35th Anniversary Kentucky Derby
Thank you to all who attended our 35th Birthday at our Ronald McDonald House. Celebrating 35 years as a “Home-away-from-Home” is monumental for all the families who have stayed in our Ronald McDonald House over the past three decades.
Our 35th Anniversary Birthday Bash, took place on Saturday, May 5, 2018. We hosted a Kentucky Derby Party at the Crystal Tea Room in Philadelphia.

CBS 3 & CW Philly hosted 9th Annual Change the Luck of Child Telethon
With the support of many corporate partners and thousands of individual donors, this one-day telethon was very a huge success. Thank you for supporting our mission of providing Hope, Help and Home to thousands of families with critically ill and injured children when they need to travel to obtain life-saving medical care.
PJ Whelihan’s Restaurants collectively raised more than $130,000 to benefit our Ronald McDonald Houses by selling Shamrocks in the month of March. Check out the amazing designs the staff created to celebrate the courage and inspiration of children who are seriously ill.
Wine & Dine for RMHSNJ

TAC Bowling Event March 3, 2018
Teen Advisory Council hosted their 6th annual Spare Some Love Bowling Tournament at Pinsetters on Saturday, March 3. Over 600 students from across South Jersey High Schools raised more than $28,000. Students organized, solicited donations for raffle prizes and bowled a perfect score to benefit our Ronald McDonald House. Thank you to all the students, parents and guests who participated in making the 6th annual Spare Some Love event a STRIKE!
Polar Express Adventure

Wine & Cigar Dinner
The Madison hosted the second annual Wine & Cigar and the first annual Wine & Canvas socials last night and everyone in attendance wined, dined and had a great time! Ladies painted custom keepsakes while the gentleman enjoyed wine, steaks and cigars as well as the expertise of a wine sommelier from Opera Wine Distributors and a cigar aficionado from Epic Cigars.
Thank you to everyone who was in attendance and Madison for hosting such a fabulous event!
Wine and Canvas Party
The Madison hosted a Wine & Canvas Party presented by Pinot’s Palette, Cherry Hill. Ladies had a choice of painting a Fall Theme pair of Wine Glasses or painting a Floral Pumpkin for Thanksgiving. Before paintng The Madison served a delicious buffet and wonderful wine. We eat, we drank and we had a lot of fun! Check out the photos of some amazing talent!
35th Annual Golf Classic
Our 35th Annual Golf Classic was a huge success, perfect weather for a day of golf. To the many golfers and sponsors who continue to embrace our mission of keeping families close in their time of need, we thank you for the bottom of our HEARTS. Your generosity helps us provide a-home-away-from-home for families who have seriously ill children.
Teen Advisory Council
Each year our Teen Advisory Council host an event at YMCA Camp Ockanickon for new members to get acquainted. Students from 37 different high schools across south jersey come together to attend a team building event. Students work together to problem solve – getting from one platform to another with only 3 boards, cross over swamp water on a wire and climb telephone poles to walk across a rope bridge. A fun day for all who attended.
Touch A Truck
For the past 13 years we have hosted our annual Touch A Truck event at The Promenade Shoppe at Sagemore. Many children enjoyed the experience the Big Dig Zone, On & Off Road Vehicles and Safety Zone. The pony rides and petting zoo were a big hit and to top off the event, Mister Softee served soft ice cream for a refreshing treat.

Christmas in July
Our annual Christmas in July party was a hit! Families worked together to decorate the House, volunteers generously prepared delicious platters of fruits, veggies, cheeses and other delights and Santa appeared to give out the gifts volunteers donated and wrapped. We are so thankful to be able to keep families close to cheer and comfort, Christmas-style in the middle of the summer!
Summer Camp Horse Back Riding
For children staying at our Ronald McDonald House a special road trip took them on an outing to Compassionate Friends Therapeutic Riding Center. Each child was paired with a horse to ride and feed and then hose them down with cool water. Smiles and laughter show in the faces of these children who had a fabulous time out on the farm.
Family Pasta Dinner
Thank you for making our Family Pasta Dinner hosted by Joe Volpe and Cescaphe Event Group a resounding success and a truly memorable experience.
With more than 640 in attendance, our guests enjoyed a spectacular view of Boathouse Row and the Schuylkill River. Cescaphe Event Group did an outstanding job creating a memorable event to benefit our House.

Ronald House Run 2016
Our 2nd Annual Ronald House 5K Run in 2016 was a huge success. We believe keeping families close helps in the healing process and we thank you for supporting our mission.
We look forward to seeing you again and hope you will except our invitation to 2017 Ronald House Run.
Days of Caring
Many of our friends from local companies and organizations have volunteered to participate in a Day of Caring. On a day in October and November many of these employees came together to lend a hand at our House. They helped with planting flowers, cleaning our kitchen, dusting our ceiling fans and preparing lunch and dinner for our families.

The Newest Rooms
When our families arrive at our House this fall, they will be greeted by four newly constructed and renovated spaces that were adopted and furnished by generous donors. We are thankful to Davis Enterprises, The Hope Foundation, Joseph Tarquini and Martin Truex Jr. Foundation for supporting the construction of the rooms. We are grateful to BAYADA Pediatrics, The Cheescake Factory, Holman Automotive, MY Foundation, Rainbow Gymnastics and Red Shoe Society of RMHSNJ for their support in decorating the rooms.

Summer Camp at RMHSNJ
This summer, the children at the House painted, crafted, played and laughed their cares away at Camp Happy Heart. Thanks to a generous donation from The Canuso Foundation, we were able to host activities every day and field trips once a week to local attractions like All Fired Up! and Pinsetters Bowling. We received many donations of snacks and supplies from our local community – goldfish crackers, colored tissue paper and bubbles came in handy everyday!

Touch-A-Truck
Over 40 different trucks filled the lot at The Promenade at Sagemore on Saturday for our annual Touch-A-Truck fundraiser. Families and kids enjoyed games, pony rides, special giveaways, delicious treats and one-on-one time with the drivers of the giant trucks. Special thanks our presenting sponsors, TD Bank and Zallie’s Supermarkets and to The Promenade at Sagemore for hosting our event! Thank you to the community who came out to show their support!
